WightOut Challenge...

Main Content Inline Small

Oli Mansfield and his team of athletes from Bucks plan to walk, run, cycle and kayak to raise £40,000 for Newlife. The Wight Out Challenge will take the team from High Wycombe to the Isle of Wight in a 240 mile non-stop trek for disabled children. For eight years Oliver has worked tirelessly for the charity and this will mark his fifth and final challenge.

He says: “I have raised funds for other charities before, and once I’d paid the money into the bank for them, all I had to show for it was a bank stub and I didn’t know where the money was going. When I heard about Newlife I fell in love with the charity as the money raised goes to the right places. You can see how the equipment makes a difference to children and their families and it’s so terrible to know that there are children suffering in pain for the sake of equipment that can easily be purchased. We are trying to change this by taking part in this challenge.

Oliver and his team have also created a naughty naked calendar to help boost their fundraising target. (along the lines of the Calendar Girls)
