DiGiCo SD10B Hits The Road With Audiotruck.dkDiGiCo’s broadcast roots are well known and its latest broadcast-iteration console - the SD10B - has been gaining a lot of attention. As well as studio installations, it’s just as at home in outside broadcast situations, as a recent purchase in Denmark has proved. Experienced recording engineer and producer Henrik Nilsson has recorded and mixed a variety of high profile live concerts for broadcast, including Metallica, Jean Michel Jarre, Massive Attack, Robbie Williams, the Roskilde and Skanderborg festivals. He recently bought the vehicle to provide a versatile OB service - Audiotruck dk 
Dr Creflo Dollar's World Changers' Evolves Its Audio System To A Higher SummitAs a world-class ministry located in College Park Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta, World Changers Church International (WCCI) - founded by world-renowned author, conference speaker and bible teacher Dr. Creflo A. Dollar - caters to a local congregation of approximately 8,500 in its dome, as well as broadcasting its message to satellite locations worldwide. For nearly thirty years, WCCI has operated with entry-level analog consoles to handle their live audio production, however, the technical crew began exploring stepping up to a more appropriate digital system several years ago. That search let them to investigating DiGiCo’s SD7 and SD8 consoles for its FOH and monitor needs respectively. The sale was facilitated by Roy Drukenmiller and Mitch Donner of Rock-N-Road Audio and installed in a 3-day turnaround with the help of the church volunteer staff - Carlton Reeves, Jeffery Stubbs, Femi Afuape, and Kirk Bowie - and church staffers, Jeff Sparks, Mark Hawley, John Eley, and Hall Williams. 
DiGiCo SD9 Is On The Money For Cash SoundThe facilities, sound quality and eye-catching red finish of the DiGiCo SD9 are all reasons why the console has quickly gained a dedicated following amongst rental companies. Another key advantage is its remarkable price point, which has made it an appropriate purchase for Croatian company Cash Sound. Based in Split, the country’s second largest city, Cash Sound services a wide range of live events, including concerts by Croatia’s biggest artists and international stars. 
DiGiCo SDTen Console Makes Its North American Debut At MerlefestAs the audio director for Merlefest, one of the largest traditional bluegrass music hoedowns in the United States, industry veteran and SE System’s co-owner Cliff Miller has been on the scene for all of the fest’s 24 years. Recently, SE added a pair of the newest SD10 consoles and two DiGiCo SD racks with HMA Optics - their first DiGiCo purchase - to the company’s touring stock. Miller was looking for a couple of new digital consoles that could do 96kHz, when DiGiCo’s National Sales Manger Matt Larson and Quest Marketing’s Terry Ewald presented the SD9, SD8 and SD7 consoles at an SE System’s road show. Miller had heard about another secret, soon-to-be-released console, the SD10, and knew immediately that that was the one he had to have. Miller notes, “I have been in the industry for a very long time and this is the first time that I have purchased two new consoles - without even putting my fingers on the faders!”

 DiGiCo's Inaugural SD11 Makes World Debut On Tour With Staind Frontman Aaron LewisHot off the production line, literally, DiGiCo’s very first SD11 console made its debut in the field - and on the road - with Staind founder and frontman Aaron Lewis. Out in support of his debut country-tinged solo album, Town Line, released in March 2011, the stripped-down tour features Lewis in an acoustic duo setting on sold-out stages ranging from headlining 700-seat casinos, churches and honky-tonks, to playing opening slots on 50,000-seat arena and festival bills. Long-time DiGiCo user Clay Hutson - who’s wearing multiple hats on this outing including FOH/Monitor engineer and day-to-day/Production/Tour Manager - had read about the SD11 rack-mountable system and had to get his hands on the first one for this tour. 
DiGiCo SD7 Is In The House At Danmarks RadioOpened in 2009, the Danmark Radio Koncerthuset is one of the country’s top live performance venues, staging symphony concerts, chamber music, choral, jazz, rock and pop events in the near-perfect acoustics of its four halls. Recently an SD7, supplied by DiGiCo’s Danish distributor Soundware, was added to its inventory of DiGiCo consoles. The 5000m2 Copenhagen venue has been a focus of Denmark’s quest to become one of the leading lights in Scandinavian music, the 1800-capacity main hall playing host to some of the city’s highest profile concerts, with the smaller three allowing a wide range of new, groundbreaking performances. 
SKAB Picks Hire Sound And DiGiCo For Anniversary PartyLate May saw Swedish truck body manufacturer SKAB Group treat its employees and their families to a remarkable company party. With DiGiCo SD8 and SD8-24 consoles mixing the performances, the party went with a swing, not to mention some heads-down boogie. Falkenberg-based Hire Sound Sweden was appointed by event management company 2e Group to provide sound reinforcement for the party, which took place in Falkenberg’s Falkenhalle. The event was for 550 SKAB employees and their families, celebrating the fact that the various parts of the group have totalled 100 years in business.
