Biggest DiGiCo SD7 Rig Tours With George MichaelWhen George Michael returned to the stage for 25 Live, the console of choice was the DiGiCo D5 Live. Now, as George travels Europe with Symphonica: The Orchestra Tour! DiGiCo consoles are still an integral part of the audio production, but this time four of the British manufacturer’s flagship SD7 digital mixing consoles, supplied by Wigwam Acoustics, have been chosen to handle the demands of this phenomenal production, forming what is currently the biggest SD7 rig on a single optical loop on any touring production. Symphonica, as Andy ‘Baggy’ Robinson, George’s monitor engineer and head of sound for the tour, explains, is “tunes you know and covers you don’t, all re-arranged.” 
DiGiCo SD10 Swings With McCune Audio At 54th Annual Monterey Jazz FestMcCune Audio/Video/Lighting has been handling the audio services for the acclaimed Monterey Jazz Fest since the 1960’s. In business since 1932, this full service technical event production company has done its share of myriad events in its nearly 80-year history. They purchased their first DiGiCo, an SD10, and the console made its debut at the 54th Annual Festival this past September. 
DiGiCo Rides The Paraiso Express With Alejandro SanzSpanish superstar Alejandro Sanz has spent 20 months touring in support of his hugely successful, Grammy-winning eighth album Paraiso Express. Taking in 22 countries and over a hundred shows, Front of House engineer Fernando Diaz relied on two DiGiCo SD7s to mix this extensive tour. Travelling to countries as varied as the USA, Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras and Costa Rica, such was its success that it was nominated for Billboard’s best live tour of 2010, yet it still had months to run.. 
DiGiCo Holds The Torch For Welsh TheatreWales is globally renowned for its choirs, but the country also enjoys a wide variety of other live entertainment. That variety is continually growing and audio systems in smaller venues now have a desire to match the quality and flexibility to those of their bigger brethren. In two recent cases, the DiGiCo SD9 has been the solution. Milford Haven’s Torch Theatre is one such example. Philadelphia's Annenberg PAC Celebrates 40th Anniversary With Complete Audio OverhaulThis year, the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, at the University of Pennsylvania celebrates its 40th anniversary. As one of the nation’s preeminent urban performing arts centers on a major university campus, it has a very rich history in the performing arts, presenting world-renowned and emerging artists and companies in its four-decade history. Leading up to the anniversary, the goal was to bring one of its main venues, the Zellerbach - a 900-seat proscenium theatre that accommodates a wide array of events, including dance, theatre, music, comedy, lectures, meetings and teleconferences - up to date and revamp its nearly 20-year-old audio system in its entirety. This complete renovation encompassed the upgrade of the FOH console to a DiGiCo SD9, 
Audio Logic And DiGiCo Bring The Funk 2 The FDeluxe Family ReunionTo say that September was a busy month for Audio Logic Systems (ALS) would be considered an understatement. Not only did the A/V integrators celebrate a 20th anniversary milestone with a mega bash replete with music, food and drinks at their Minneapolis headquarters, but they also took on the production for a major concert event at the historic Loring Theater - in addition to a slew of smaller one-off events and installs. The show was the reuniting of four of The Family’s original members - “St. Paul” Peterson, Jellybean Johnson, Susannah Melvoin and Eric Leeds - after nearly three decades apart. After debuting in 1986, The Family’s self-titled, Prince-produced album received critical acclaim (and produced the single, 'Nothing Compares 2 U', famously covered by Sinead O'Connor).
