Gateway Church In Southlake Texas Finalizes New State Of The Art Facility Featuring Six DiGiCo SD Consoles

Gateway Church in Southlake Texas has grown in the last decade from a congregation of several hundred to approximately 16,000. Satellite campus locations have sprouted over the last few years including the North Richland Hills Campus in the center of the Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex in 2007, and the Frisco campus in the North Dallas area in the summer of 2010. In the fall of 2010, Gateway will move its main worship facility to a new location in Southlake, situated on a parcel of 168 acres. The new sanctuary will accommodate 4,000 to host weekly services, concerts and other community events, with multiple smaller rooms, including a Children’s Wing.

The new facility, which is slated to open its doors to the congregation in November of 2010, will be the central locale for Gateway to oversee its multiple campuses. With renowned design consultants, Acoustic Dimensions providing the blueprint and Pro Sound & Video the customized installation, the new Gateway is shaping up to be a state-of-the-art house of worship masterpiece.

DiGiCo Consoles Enjoy Increased Profile In China

DiGiCo mixing consoles are currently enjoying increasing success in China, the world’s most populous country. Following on from their key role in the opening of the iconic Canton Tower, further DiGiCo mixers are making an impression elsewhere in the country.

Situated in Guangzhou, the same city as the Canton Tower, the Intown Live House is a live music venue and bar which hosts a wide range of music. Rightway Audio - DiGiCo’s China distributor, who used an SD8 and SD9 on the Canton Tower opening ceremony - introduced the venue’s owner, Pan Zhibing, to the DiGiCo SD9. He was very impressed.

SD9 Makes Small Massive For David Bisbal Tour

Latin Grammy Award winning Spanish pop icon David Bisbal became a household name both in his home country and in South America after he achieved the runner up position in television talent contest Operación Triunfo – the Spanish version of the UK’s Pop Idol - in 2001. For the Latin American leg of his latest tour Sin Mar Atras, which took in a number of the summer’s festivals along the way, a DiGiCo SD9 digital mixing console, supplied by DiGiCo’s Spanish distributor Meyer Sound España, was included in the audio inventory.
